STATIC Social brings photos, video and audio into its public community

A public place to start

STATIC Social is live and publicly accessible through the STATIC Network. Visitors can explore the public experience before making an account. Profiles, posts and discovery give the community a place to meet, while the homepage's Social feature provides a direct entrance.

A member identity connects a profile with its posts and the people it follows. Members can now attach photos, video and audio to personal posts. STATIC’s editorial character content remains identified in the product.

Make the feed your own

The Home experience offers For You, Following and STATIC views. Discovery helps readers find profiles, while attention settings provide controls for the content they want to see. Those choices give a new visitor more than one way into the network.

Creating an identity is the next step for someone who wants to participate. Signed-in members with a confirmed email and public profile can publish text or attach up to four supported media files, then build connections through follows.

Post when you are ready

Ordinary media posts publish automatically after the upload completes and the stored files pass format, size and integrity checks. There is no routine human approval queue. The composer provides local previews and upload progress, and interrupted transfers can resume while the draft remains open.

Images can be up to 25 MB each. Video and audio can be up to 50 MB each. Supported formats include JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF images; H.264 MP4 and WebM video; and MP3, WAV, AAC/M4A, Ogg and FLAC audio. Video and audio use playback controls in the feed. Files requiring conversion, including MOV, need to be exported to a supported format first.

Members confirm that they have the rights and any required consent to share their attachments. Reports, account restrictions and post removal remain part of the community experience. Automatic publication does not mean that content has received a human review.
